Posts on our board seem to have too much whitespace at the bottom of posts. Could this be a function of SP?
I'm using SP 2.3.4 on SMF 2.0.2.
Where might I look (code) to fix this?
See the example below. Incidentally, this was happening long before I installed the plugin giving me the FB, etc. buttons below posts.

I dont think this is related to Simple Portal.
Some buttons that appear when logged in and the IP address make more space but my site doesnt have that much. I would compare again without the facebook mod. Other than that it could be your template or its just the way SMF is.

Any idea which template file it might be?

Display.template.php
What theme are you using?
i guess that FB/Twitter/Google+ mod is causing this..

Logging in just now about 3 extra lines below text. Doesn't seem a lot.
If you are using a custom template - it could be that. I dont know - only you know what templates are in use on your site. That wouldnt be a support issue here.
But basically I would consider testing it without the Facebook mod. It might add a few lines itself, or more.
After that try the SMF site support.
