Comments Problem with SP 2.3.5 + Ultimate Profile
« on: July 12, 2012, 05:19:34 AM »
well i thought it's sovled but it isn't. I have no idea how to fix it.
If you put a comment to a profile, it breaks the layout (this problem wasn't before adding the SP..)

It would be nice if anyone could help me with it

I don't know a lot about this but first you could use html validators - websites and plugins for browsers like Firefox. They will tell you the errors on a page so maybe a clue to the source of the problem

As SP works well on SMF sites it is probably a problem with Ultimate Profile breaking the output of html.
Simple solution might be to install mods again and put simple portal in first - see what happens.

Not sure what caused it ... maybe a mod didn't install on the theme you were using. Or its a theme problem (authors site).
Often people forget to check the boxes to install on custom themes (I think most common mistake). Also the installer can miss edits or have trouble with file permissions.
I always start from the beginning with latest files - can set up the site quickly now. And themes too.
Perhaps the easiest way is uninstall all mods in reverse order (backups folder dates), then put them back in.
I prefer clean install with the minimum of mods.
