SP Quick Edit
This mod will put a Modify icon at the top of Simple Portal custom Pages that when clicked will take you to the admin panel edit page for that specific page.
(http://images.dth-scripts.com/Script_Images/edit.JPG)
This mod was made to make it quicker and easier to edit pages within Simple Portal.
V1.1 Planned Features:
- Edit link for Custom HTML/PHP blocks
I have thought about adding an edit link for all blocks, but i personally think that this would clutter the portal up with too many edit buttons, if enough people would like this in V1.1 i will implement it.
Please post any issues you may have with this mod in this post Thanks.

What mod?

What mod?
-
looks pretty useful, of course if we had a download link it will be even better.
greetings!
-
Sorry, was going to link to the download on the SMF Mod site.
V1.0 is now attached to the first post.
-
Thank you for this! It's a nice idea and a handy little tool! :)

Yeah i made it as i found it a bit tedious going all through the admin panel to make small changes.
i might add it to all blocks for the next release depending on the results of the poll
-
Will be looking at making V1.1 in the next week or 2, keep an eye out for any updates.
-
Moved to the Blocks and Modifications board.
-
Thanks, downloading!
EDIT:
What version of SMF is this for?
-
it should work with all versions, its been a while since i wrote it, but it only modifies SP files and not SMF.
-
I tried with my default SMF 2.0RC3, and it didn't install, RC2 either, tried 1.2 and it did.
also, I 'reverted' and the image won't show up anymore
-
i'll take a look at it tomorrow im off to bed shortly.
-
Ok. If you want you could update this information into first post so others know.
-
Very good convenient idea
Is there a way you can put the edit button inside the body instead of the title?
I rarely use the title, I almost always check off "no body" and "no title"

I shall add an option so you can choose between them.
just installing fresh copies of SMF 2 RC3 and 1.1.11 to my server and will install SP then i shall begin rewriting this mod.

Oh and before you do that
Your could add the button to BBC blocks too, if only admins can see them, its not too bad anyway.

Im not sure what you mean, add an edit button to the BBC Block? why when the point of the button is to take you to the page editor, why would you need an edit button on that page?

I mean a edit button on the BBC blocks, so we can easily edit those too

Ahh right got ya, i shall have a look, at the moment i'm having issues with permissions.
For SMF 2.x Your permissions files would be;
Sources/ManagePermissions.php
'profile_remote_avatar' => array(false, 'profile', 'use_avatar'),
'your_action' => array (false, ', 'action, 'action'), or " ; " if at end.
Sources/Subs.php
$context['allow_pm'] = allowedTo('pm_read');
$context['AddYourPermission'] = allowedTo('your_action');
Hope that helps you :)

I know this thread is very old, but I think it's really useful and I would like to use it.
Does anyone know the SMF version I need to download this? I have been trying to guess few versions already and nothing worked yet... :/
-
You need to emulate SMF 2.0 RC1.2 (take a look inside package-info.xml).
But you can also check out this package => http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=12381
-
This package is for editing pages and your package is for editing blocks. :P
Anyway, I have already your mod of quick blocks editing. It's very useful, thanks. :)
I have successfully installed this package thanks to you, but unfortunately it seems like it doesn't work because there is no change. :/ I see no option for a quick edit for the pages I have. :/
-
ah my mistake ::)
Since author of this package isn't active lately I'll update my mod with this function in few minutes :)
