Some blocks for media gallery
« on: November 01, 2008, 01:35:25 PM »
20 Recent comments with scrolling up marquee and on hover code (center block)

This one is thanks to Dragooon for providing the raw code, I just tested and fixed the errors.

Code: [Select]
global $sourcedir, $galurl, $scripturl, $settings;
require_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-MGallery.php');
if(!isset($galurl))
   loadMGal_Settings();
$coms = getMediaComments(20);
$alt = false;
echo '
<marquee direction="up" height=40ex onmouseover=\'this.stop()\' onmouseout=\'this.start()\' scrollamount="1">
   <table cellpadding="6" cellspacing="0" width="100%">';
foreach($coms as $com)
{
   $alt = !$alt;
   echo '
      <tr class="windowbg' . ($alt ? '2' : '') . '">
         <td>
            Comment in <a href="' . $galurl . 'sa=item;id=' . $com['id_media'] . '#com' . $com['id_comment'] . '">' . $com['media_title'] . '</a> posted by <a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $com['id_member'] . '">' . $com['member_name'] . '</a> ' . ($com['is_new'] ? '<img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/english/new.gif" alt="new" />' : '') . '
         </td>
      </tr>';
}
echo '
   </table>
</marquee>';

Of course you can change the speed and amount of comments to scroll quite easily.

scrollamount = "1" - scroll speed.

1 is slow but tends to be much smoother than 2.

$coms = getMediaComments(20); - change the number to whatever amount of comments to show.

This one is only valid for anyone using media gallery to upload music.

Otherwise it's gonna be a bloody hit miss.

Maybe someone can add the code to only call random files that have the mp3 extension ?

anyway you'll need to upload the contents of dewplayer.zip to your root directory (public_html) via ftp.

Code: [Select]
global $sourcedir, $context, $txt, $galurl, $scripturl, $settings;

require_once($sourcedir . '/Subs-MGallery.php');
loadMGal_Settings();

if (loadlanguage('MGallery') == false)
  loadLanguage('MGallery', 'english');

$items = getMediaItems(0, 1, 'rand()');

foreach ($items as $item)
  echo '
    <div class="smalltext" style="text-align: left; line-height: 1.4em; border: 0px #000000 solid; padding: 5px;">
    <br /><a href="',$galurl,'sa=item;id=',$item['id'],'">',$item['title'],'</a>';
echo'
<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="dewplayer-mini.swf?mp3=',$galurl,'sa=media;id=',$item['id'],';&autostart=1&autoreplay=1&showtime=1&volume=75" width="160" height="20"><param name="wmode" value="transparent" /><param name="movie" value="dewplayer-mini.swf?mp3=',$galurl,'sa=media;id=',$item['id'],';&autostart=1&autoreplay=1&showtime=1&volume=75" /></object>';
echo'
',$txt['mgallery_posted_by'],': <a href="',$scripturl,'?action=profile;u=',$item['poster_id'],'">',$item['poster_name'],'</a>';

It's a free flash player by Alsacréations so don't worry.

In fact it's a even simpler version of the one used in the old bbc mp3 tag mod.

eZ.

Hope it's ok to post this here - it is a media gallery script, and a very simple one at that. Something that I think is sadly missing from the statistics of Media Gallery - total views

Code: [Select]
<?php

global $settings;

$ViewsResult=mysql_query("select sum(views) from smf_mgallery_media");
$TotalViews=mysql_fetch_array($ViewsResult);

echo
"<b>Gallery Views:</b> ".$TotalViews[0]."<br>";

?>
