Title: How to add READ MORE link on the News Block
Post by: Tonino on December 23, 2008, 07:08:42 AM: This tweak will include the READ MORE LINK in the news block.
Recommended for Simple portals that are using for Front Page the Board News Block with Maximum characters cut-off at certain xx number of characters.
PS. But It can be used even without the Maximum characters cut-off, in either way IT WILL SHOW the Read more link at the end of the topic.

1- Open the SPortal2.php (this file is located in SOURCES folder)
2- On line 1704 you will find this code:
$row['body'] .= '...';
3- Replace that line with:
$row['body'] .= '... <a href="' . $scripturl . '?topic=' . $row['id_topic'] . '.0">Read more</a>';

4- Save and upload file

5- WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND TO BACKUP THE ORIGINAL FILE (just in case) BEFORE MAKING ANY MODIFICATION.

Which one was your board news block :O
