Hi
Just installed the portal but now have only blank screens and cannot access anything....
Are there any basic checks I can do before I blow the board and restart?

I would suggest you look for a new host.

Unlimited does not exist.

I'm not really sure what might have gone wrong. Did that blank page appear right after the install once or did you become unable to access to any part of your forum at all? Have you checked the error log in your server control panel if none were displayed on the blank page? Usually installation is a very simple process. Except for file permission problems in rare cases, you wouldn't have needed to check anything beforehand.
