Title: SMF works fine but portal will not install..

The website is http://www.keyserchat.com/

You can see it works fine. I uploaded ftp the files for SP and get database errors.

See errors at http://www.keyserchat.com/install2.php

and http://www.keyserchat.com/install1-1.php


Database Error
DROP command denied to user 'keyserch_chat'@'localhost' for table 'keyserch_chatsp_functions'

Fatal error: Call to undefined function db_query() in /home/keyserch/public_html/install1-1.php on line 480

I can't find any info step by step to install this. can someone help.

It seems to me that the MySQL user that you use to connect your forum to the database is not given the DROP command permission. In your host administration panel, you should have an area where you can manage MySQL Databases. Create a new MySQL user with privileges required for the forum to function (SELECT, INSERT, CREATE, DROP etc.) and use that MySQL user to connect your forum to the database.
