Title: Staff List block - How to add more groups?
Post by: whitesheep on December 13, 2013, 06:40:48 AM
Hello,

I've been trying to add other membergroups into the 'Staff List' block. I can't seem to find out how to do this.
I've tried adding a package (http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=10209.0) but can't seem to find out how this works even after looking through everything related to SP.

I have other membergroups I want to add to my Staff List in order for example;
Owner
Super Admin
Admin
Moderator

I have these membergroups created already, just need to work out how to add them and order them correctly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This will install an extra permission under the heading of SimplePortal onto your SMF Forum.
This permission can be added to any existing membergroup and will allow that membergroup to appear in your Simple Portal staff block.

Go into Admin -> Members -> Permissions
Select which group you want, and modify.
In the SimplePortsal section, make sure this is checkmarked:
Enable SP staff permission

Hmm.  I attempted to modify the group and checkmarked enable SP staff but it has not worked.  Any other ideas?  Thanks.

Uhmm, what exactly does this mean - what did you do?

I think you did not install the extra package needed:
SP-Staff_Membergroups_v1.2x.zip

After you install this as a package you will see new permissions under the Simple Portal section. For each group you can select 'A' (allow) in the user group permissions. Save it and that group will also appear in the staff block.
Without the package only admin is in the staff block.
