Title: 403 error
Post by: stelacero on September 03, 2014, 01:38:38 PM
Hi all.

I just finished installing the Simple Portal application in my hosting and, so far, everything is going smooth, save for one thing.

Whenever I try to create a new category, or modify the default one, I always get a 403 error. I have just chmod all the files and directories of the application to 775, yet there is no way to get that option working.

Is there something I´m missing? As far as I go, everything should be running fine. Is it mandatory to give 777 permissions on all the files?

It´s quite a simple question, but I´m losing my mind on this simple matter.

Thanks for the help.

Are you using the latest version of SMF?
Any Other Mods installed?
Are you using a custom theme?
Any errors in the error logs? Apache, PHP, SMF? (Besides the 403 error mentioned.)
