Title: Display users on a given page

I've recently followed the advice of a very helpful friend and I created a shoutbox on its own page to simulate a chatroom. I would like to give it a quality of life update, if possible, by adding something on the forum-index that displays the current users viewing the custom-page shoutbox. Is that something that is possible?

It should be possible since this one http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/?mod=1319 has it, however I am not entirely sure on how to do it and I don't have time to properly investigate about it...
