Title: News scroll/fader block?
Post by: josh4596 on February 12, 2015, 10:58:46 PM: I looked through the blocks section I hope I didn't miss it. I'd like a news block that is pretty much the same thing as the SMF news fader but I want it in a simple portal box. That way it will appear on my simple portal home page and above my chat box. I also like the idea of it just slowly scrolling through all the different news items rather than just fading from one to the other if that's possible. Thanks for any help you can offer.

That doesn't fade or scroll between the different news pieces though. That just shows a random one every time you reload the page.

Was assuming I could do this with custom php block some how but I have no idea how to go about doing that. I'm using smf 2.0.9
