Title: Board News cant display more than 5 post

Hello all,
I have been wondering why board News cant display more than 5 post, even when you set it to display a maximium of 10 or more.

Has anyone noticed this or is my portal having issues, i am using the latest version. Also is it possible to add pagination to the board news?

I haven't tested this but I have seen similar posts before. It might be related to how old your posts are. If they are older than a certain date they might not be considered recent 'news' - not shown. There are topics here on simple portal if you can find them.  They will tell you how to change the setting for what is considered new/recent posts.

Thanks for responding, my post are quite recent, lets say 1 days. i have set the number of post to display in the Board News settings to 10 and its still display just 5 of it. i also tried it again my 2nd forum and it was the same result.

I just tested the board news block. Without any number set it displayed 6 posts back to Feb 18th. Set to 10 topics it displayed 10 going back further into February.

Mine works. Perhaps some of your boards do not have permission to display to guests or some user groups maybe. Or another mod or code changes you might have made.
The answer is there somewhere.

Pagination is an included Board News block setting - take a closer look.
Like a lot of problems it will be related to some setting or code change. The only way to prove it is set up your own new SMF forum and Simple Portal in another directory. Do not change anything and make some posts, set up the board news and see.

There is not a lot people can help with in these situations for modified installs. You need to check everything and find the problem.

Thanks for the response, i actually went back and look through the recent codes i edited and i notice i made some changes i shouldn't have, I was able to get the pagination working again.

I appreciate your time and for pointing me in the right direction.
