Each visit to my site I, like many others I suspect , go through a fairly standard routine...
Read any personal messages / moderation reports
Check new members
Check new posts
Check new images uploaded in SMF Gallery
Check for new Articles in SMF Articles
Check for new Links added in SMF Links
Check error log (password/activation issues)
I'd like to create a block summarising all of these alerting me as follows:
1. You have x new messages - click here to view
2. You have x moderation reports open
- report1
- report2 etc
3. You have x new members since last visit:
- listuser1
- listuser2 etc
4. You have x new members awaiting activation:
- listuser1
- listuser2 etc
5. There have been x new images uploaded to the Gallery:
[image1] [image2] [image3]
6. There are x new Articles awaiting approval - click here
7. There are x new Links awaiting approval - click here
8. Error log has x entries - click here
I'd like each to only show if something new has happened (ie. not to show at all if no messages/reports or new posts etc) and all in one block - I'd call it an Admin Dashboard
At the moment all these mods require me to go and take a look or to summarise in different blcks. I reckon one admin block pulling useful actions on each refresh would be a pretty cool addition...
I guess it would need to be flexible as each admin / moderator of different forums would have different mods and their own preferences for what they check each time they refresh or log-in but the above seems like a good starter?
Just an idea.
