while I was searching into the deepest and darkest pages of smf, I found something quite interesting...:

Yep, there was a mod for SMF called SimplePortal, which was started and stopped long before Sinan come along and created the mod which we use today. (long enough ago, that Sinan didn't realize that there had been an earlier mod with that name)

We aren't associated with that mod or its author in any way, except that we have the same name. ;)
