Title: Embedding Video Code - Will it increase bandwidth usage (Quota)
Post by: vas on September 28, 2009, 01:45:10 PM: I just recently found a site of interest to me and they were providing an optionn to embed their video in our site by providing Embed Code.

I was wondering whether this will increase the bandwidth usage or the video will run from the parent site when a vistor to our site sees the video.

Post by: 130860 on September 28, 2009, 03:25:23 PM: no, the videe will not increse your bandwith usage, as the video is store in an external server (the parent site server) the bandwith that your users will comsume will be the parent site, that why not so many site allows this, just like hotlinking (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inline_linking) an image.
