Title: SMF search, on SP pages.
Post by: Geri on October 09, 2009, 06:31:50 PM

Hi guys.
Great and wonderful work with the SP 2.3.

I have a problem and I don't know if it's a bug or what:

Looks like the SMF forums search engine does not look into the content of the pages. (On my forum at least.)

So if I make custom pages with diferent info on them, the users who search for a keyword present only on the pages, will not find the info.

SMF1.1.10
SP2.3
www.arthalia.ro
No errors in the error log.

What can be done?

Searching through pages is currently not a feature of SimplePortal. Although it would be quite useful (at least for BBC or HTML pages). Its not really a bug, because SimplePortal has never integrated the search function with its pages. ;)

I have added a feature request to the Project Tracker:
