Title: What happened to Core theme and SP?
Post by: devnl on November 28, 2009, 05:32:20 AM
I recently upgraded to RC2 and SP 2.3.1. I use a theme based on the core theme and I notice that the borders that are somewhat standard in the core theme (the 1px black and white ones around e.g. each board category) are gone for all the SP blocks? Why is this? Does SP only support the Curve theme these days? Looking at the HTML output of the blocks I notice that the header and content are now two seperate elements without any container element around it. How can I get the blocks back to looking more Core-ish?

I noticed that when I make a copy of the current Core and DON'T rename it to my own, the styles DO work as they should. As soon as I rename them I lose the styles though. Where can I find the file that checks the themename and can I add my own in there without causing problems in the future?

As far as I'm aware the current method looks for the 'core' name. Renaming your theme to have the word "core" in it should fix the issue.

There are two functions inside of the blocks template-- one that creates the blocks in the curve style, and one for the core style. There is a conditional in the subs file that determines which function to load. Simply modify this function, or swap around the core and curve templates if you're not going to bother using curve at all.

There is a bug with the compat detection, see the topic below for a solution:
