Title: No SimplePortal after install.

Fresh install of SMF (2.0 RC2)
Fresh install of SimplePortal (2.3.1)

No SimplePortal menu in Admin Panel.
Forum looks exactly the same.

Package looks to be installed.

Entire directory chmod'ed 777, chowned and chgrped to account owner.

Any errors in the Forum Error Log?

Just these, but that dir is also chmod'ed 777.  Not sure why it's telling me perm denied.

package flush cache.. not all the files are being written.

There is something wrong with the FTP account you set up to work with SMF.

Well honestly considering the screenshot you showed me, there isn't much I can do.

There is obviously something wrong in there. There is a chance that the FTP account you set up for SMF does not have the right permission or similar-- are you using your account owner FTP account for SMF to connect to?

I'm using the FTP user that the homedir belongs to.  This isn't a shared hosting account.  I own the box.

Have you tried installing other packages? If this isn't specific to SimplePortal package, I would suggest seeking help at simplemachines.org support forums.
