I would like to know how to display "The unread messages" in a block on my portal SimplePortal 2.3.1

For a start, though I think this could throw errors in your log.

And you are sure there should be some unread topics?
 
If so, then i must have missed something.  There is something else that would need to be set or attended to before UnreadTopics(); can do its job.
 
I am sorry that I jumped in where I am not an expert, and gave you bad advice.  You may be able to trace through the code using appropriate debugging statements and find a solution. I hope someone with more experience can drop in and offer some advice.
