Title: Problems after removal
Post by: CapadY on April 24, 2010, 09:19:23 AM
I have a new installed forum on my local machine.
I installed SP and it was running fine.

After uploading it to the hoster to be a live forum I have problems to add or edit block. It will give me the next error:
Code: [Select]
Fatal error: Call to undefined function sp_userInfo() in /home/sites/web118/web/Sources/PortalAdminBlocks.php on line 274

I've tried it several times and each time the same problem.
I think it has to do something with a path somewhere in the database, but where ?

Who can help me to solve this ?

Thanks in advance.

John

OMG, tell me this isn't true  :vampire:

I've been working three days to find out now it is impossible to edit or add blocks when SP is disabled.

I think I've installed SP six times, even completely removed my forum, reinstalled it and local it works (doesn't matter when I am arranging the frontpage) but as soon I got in the live site and SP was disabled I went in troubles.

Please, make a VERY CLEAR MESSAGE before installing to explain editing blocks is imposible in disabled mode or even better, make editing blocks possible, even when SP is disabled, so you can arrange a site/page before publishing it.

I've never seen this issue before, as I am sure you can edit blocks without having SP active.

From what I can surmise from your error is that some files are missing, or some files are present but have been truncated. Make sure your SP install on the server is proper. In addition, make sure all the tables were created properly and that you're using updated MySQL and PHP versions on your server.
