I also want to give you guys some positive advice for promoting Simple portal. Did you ever look at this site with in mind you don't know anything about portals and forums? For instance at the frontpage there is a lot of text (news), but nowhere (exect for the about, but that's a another klick) a good explanation about what SP actually is. And yes, we users know that the site IS simpleportal...
Same thing at the simpleportal page at simplemachine.org: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1104. For months in the top five SMF mods list with more than 68000 downloads in total! But on that page there is also no good introduction for newbies!
I advice you to take a good look at the frontpage of Joomla! ( http://www.joomla.org ) and even better Ubuntu: ( http://www.ubuntu.com/ )
