Title: Help with adding site name
Post by: blockhead on June 19, 2010, 11:05:16 AM
Hi. I'm new to all of this and have tried to do as much as possible without asking for help. That has got me so far but now I am banging head against wall.

I have Simple Portal 2.3.2 and Smf 1.1.11.

I have installed the extreme10 theme. My first problem was the forum button. I followed the guide provided here and managed to install that.

I wanted to replace the part at the top of the page (next to the tabs) where it said Extreme 10, with the title of my own website. I tried putting the url into the Logo image url but that never changed it.

I then went into the modify themes and changed the /.images/logo.png into my own. That took away the extreme 10 but didn't replace it.

Now I have the black bar running across the top, with logout and search and all of the tabs on a grey/black bar. It looks ok but I would really like to have the name of the site on the black bar. I can do this as a text file or make a .png.

Can anyone help me to achieve this please.

Thank you.

Not really a SimplePortal related issue, my first suggestion would be to try asking the Theme author for help.

Note that the relevant html code for that area is within the 'Themes/{themename}/index.template.php' file, try doing a search for 'logo.png' in that file.

Thanks for the help. I did manage to solve it eventually.

Sorry about posting here, I'll remember for next time.
