I am new to SP but used SMF for some time now.
- Installed SMF 2.0rc4 and it runs
- Run Package install for SP 2.3.3 and don't get any errors during install, however get this error when I try to change to another page from packages.
Warning: main(/homez.194/thewinec/www/vinoxml/forum/Sources/Subs-Portal.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /homez.194/thewinec/www/vinoxml/forum/index.php on line 66
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/homez.194/thewinec/www/vinoxml/forum/Sources/Subs-Portal.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /homez.194/thewinec/www/vinoxml/forum/index.php on line 66
It seems that all the SP 2.3.3 stuff for Sources did not get copied. Copied all from smf2/sources to forum/sources.
Then I see the SMF/admin page, with:
Unable to load the 'Portal' template.
Copied all smf2/themes/default to forum/themes/default and forum/themes/core
Copied portal.css, portal.js and portal_rtl.css to forum/themes/core/css
At this point all seems well, but would appreciate if someone could confirm that above steps are fine or if I will have some problems due this half manual install.

Can't find any of the SP configuration stuff in Admin, so must have missed something.

When I go to admin I seem to be missing all of the SP configuration stuff which is shown here:

Looked also if the different php files got modified and it seems that changes were made (only did spot checks but all were there.
Need some tips to be able to configure my blocks etc.

Digging some more I see that I have tons of log errors similar to:
Apply Filter: Only show the error messages of this URL

Checking the db I see some SP tables SMF_SP_ARTICLES etc but there are obviously some things missing.

Needed to also copy:
languages to themes/default/languages
Things seem to work now.

Good to hear that you got it working. Its possible that a file permissions issue prevented the SMF package manager from copying those files to the correct location.
