Title: New Topics Block

Can someone tell me is it normal for the new topics block to display every new post that gets added to that new topic?

I would expect it to display the first new post of any new topic and as new topics get posted then any previous new topics will gradually slide down the list but Im finding every time someone posts to that topic it gets updated with the most recent poster and goes back to the top of the list. Basically, its functioning like the recent posts block. And yes I have it set to new topics not posts. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to modify the recent topics block (in code or otherwise) so that only new topics are listed?

This is normal, and has been address repeatedly, unfortunately, no one here seems to know, or want to tell how to make it preform the way you described.

This block uses the SSI functions recentPosts and recentTopics.
It is designed to deliver whatever these SSI functions deliver.
