English Support / Re: Where is the code for these elements, where are they stored?

Open ./Sources/Load.php

Find:
Code: [Select]
$memberContext[$user] = array(
A bit further down you'll find them.

Code: [Select]
'title' => !empty($modSettings['titlesEnable']) ? $profile['usertitle'] : '',
'href' => $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'],
'link' => '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?action=profile;u=' . $profile['id_member'] . '" title="' . $txt['profile_of'] . ' ' . $profile['real_name'] . '">' . $profile['real_name'] . '</a>',

English Support / Occasional Chat/Shout box Issue
« Last post by OpoWolfie on December 23, 2018, 11:27:24 PM »
Hi Folks
New Zealand Local Weather Forum     http://www.localweather.net.nz/smf/
SMF 2.0.15     SimplePortal 2.3.7
Also
Simple Audio Video Embedder | Powered by SMFPacks SEO Pro Mod
Sitemap | Powered by SMFPacks Mentions Pro Mod

The issue:
Chat/Shout Box occasionally won't update after enter/clicking on Shout,
the working circle arrow appears, runs for a while, then stops, block does not update,
further chat/shouts won't take either until cache flush/fresh browser start,
has appeared the last few months,
only with 2 users AFAIK,
in my case, it happens after trying to include a hyperlink, plain text - no problems.

Cpanel under SMF reveals we have chat & Packages/shoutBox folders.
chat error log file slice attached (these lines appear in a a rolling repeat)
There are 2 other error_log files in our file system but they seem to be unrelated.

Any advice/suggestions appreciated,
many thanks & cheers

English Support / Where is the code for these elements, where are they stored?
« Last post by danmsmith018f on December 18, 2018, 04:23:44 PM »
Hi,

Where is the link (href) code for these elements and in what file are they stored? File paths would be helpful!

The account profile links on the board index.

The login, register and activation email links in this simple portal block.

The account profile links in this 'Recent Contributions' simple portal block.

For anyone wondering which site this is for, and would rather take a look at its code in detail, the site is called Lets Chat Love and goes by the domain name of https://letschatlove.com. It's a relationship/love/dating/lifestyle forum that utilises simple portal.

Thank you!

Install and Upgrade / Re: v 2.3.3 to v2.3.7
« Last post by ♦ Ninja ZX-10RR ♦ on December 11, 2018, 04:14:48 PM »
As long as you don't select the delete all modification data while uninstalling... Yes, that should work :) Backup to be on the safe side.

Is it ok to go from version 2.3.3 to 2.3.7?

Seems all I have to do is uninstall 2.3.3 and install 2.3.7...correct?

portal will be same as it was?

Thanks

Custom Coding / Re: LinkTree
« Last post by Chen Zhen on November 15, 2018, 02:24:51 PM »

Do you mean remove the linktree for SMF in general?
If so then you are best to inquire on the SMF website.
This section is for custom coding that affects Simple Portal itself.

No, there is something wack about the SMF modification installer.
Their regexp option is not working and a search & replace of multiple instances of the same search is not working properly either.
You will have to do your own edits.

Use an editor such as notepad++ (notepad plus plus ... not MS notepad)
located here: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

Open ../Sources/Subs-Portal.php with notepad++
hit CTRL-F

find what:
Code: [Select]
function sp_loadCalendarData($type, $low_date, $high_date = false)

add BEFORE above code:
Code: [Select]
function sp_stripos_array($string, $array)
{
$array = !is_array($array) ? array($array) : $array;
foreach ($array as $find)
if (stripos($string, $find) !== false)
return true;

return false;
}

save changes and close file

Open ../Sources/PortalBlocks.php with notepad++
hit CTRL-F
Click on "replace"

find what:
Code: [Select]
stristr($row['avatar'], 'http://')

replace with:
Code: [Select]
sp_stripos_array($row['avatar'], array('http://', 'https://'))

Use "replace all"
save changes and close file

Open ../Sources/PortalArticles.php with notepad++
hit CTRL-F
Click on "replace"

find what:
Code: [Select]
stristr($row['avatar'], 'http://')

replace with:
Code: [Select]
sp_stripos_array($row['avatar'], array('http://', 'https://'))

Use "replace all"
save changes and close file

The first edit is not a replacement, just add above the code I said to search for.
Make sure to use "replace all" for the 2nd & third edits because there are multiple replacements for those.
