Hi.
One of my forums has eleven categories with different access.
Each of the categories has multiple boards (up to 10).

Access is based on a users account level in the specific business the forum relates to. So when a user is logged in they can see only the categories they have access to (standard SMF )

I would like a vertical side block that displays the eleven categories and their boards. Not as links just as information, not for navigation.

So if I can "sketch" that

Category1
     board1
     board2
     board3
Category2
     board1

ect 

The point of this is to show what other levels (above the users present access) the forum has and what other information will be available.

Does such a block exist  ?

I am not 100% sure but I don't think such a block exists, your needs are extremely particular and I don't think anybody has gone down that path. Most similar thing (which is different anyway) is this: http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=13278.0
