I've tried everything (including, in the end, the rss2java idea that I found on this forum, and even that stopped working after a day, maybe an issue with the rss2java site, who knows); in any event I'd love to just have the rss block work out of the box. Its not, I'm not seeing any feeds. I'm using feeds from new york times and yahoo and etc where I can see that they are being 'fed' just fine, but nothing shows up in my block.
I saw there were other complaints here about this sort of thing and the general response is to blame the feed... its always possible the feed is down, but in this case I can see the feed just fine in a feed reader...
So - any ideas whats going on? Is the rss block unreliable in any way? It doesnt seem that complicated to use so I cant imagine whats wrong. Any tips would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I can't reproduce this issue with the RSS block. Try the feed from SimplePortal.net to see if that works 'http://simpleportal.net/index.php?type=rss;action=.xml'.

Otherwise, do you get any errors in your forum error log?

A link to your forum would also be useful.
