footer on portal page not in correct place
« on: September 28, 2009, 09:00:50 PM »
I've fiddled with this a couple of hours now but can't sort it.

The footer on portal page displays under center blocks in IE8 (ok now in FF as i moved footer below main table)

now i should add that only portal page is affected because it uses default index.template.php (why I don't know lol) so to get everything uniformed I have to place my custom theme index.template.php & css into my default theme folder.

dazzlerweb.com

if anyone has any ideas i'd appreciate it.

Thankies :)

Well, from looking at the source code, the HTML for your theme appears to be broken. I don't think that this is a SimplePortal issue. I would suggest that you try asking the theme author for support.

I am happy to have a look at the issue though, could you please attach your 'Themes/{themename}/index.template.php' file?

Thanks I will accept your offer as the theme is Panther but......I've pretty much changed it 100% now so I guess its my theme.

It's just odd the portal using default for portal page & odd that same index.template.php produces different results on portal page to rest of site?

anyway thanks again, i've attached portal.blocks too as it was after adding images to replace dots that problem occured.

thanks

ok don't ask me how but I seem to have fixed it.

Your right the html is a mess (broken) but it seems to work in most browsers so i'm not too worried.

It's unlikely the original theme author would have helped as theres little if anything left of that theme.

Thanks for taking a look :)

maybe if i get time at some point i'll validate the html/css

cheers
