Hi Folks,
forgive me if i have posted in the wrong section as i`m new to this.
I have just installed simple portal on my forum, which i`m trying to get to grips with, looking good at the moment except for one thing. I was thinking of how to explain it when i came across this site, and you have exactly what i am trying to do here.
Not making much sense am i.
Ok if you look at the top of your forum you have the header bar thingy with "HELP , FORUM , DOWNLOADS etc. this is what i have been trying to work out how to do for months with no luck. I am hoping that with this Simple Portal mod will give me the function of being able to do this. Am i miles of the mark ?
Please somebody help and put me out of my misery, it`s driving me nuts.
Again i apologize if i have posted in the wrong section

Here is a link to my forum   http://www.craftymusic.org.uk/forum/index.php
Kindest Regards
Matrix

If you want a 'forum' button, then you have to make a custom edit, see this tutorial: General Custom Theme Tutorial

Otherwise, SimplePortal doesn't allow you to edit your menu. For SMF 1.1.x the menu is hardcoded for each custom theme, so you have to make your own custom edits to the 'Themes/{theme name}/index.template.php' file. If you want to edit your menu, then you should probably ask in the support topic for that theme, over at Simplemachines.org.
