All i get are errors on ANY rss feed....error on line this or line that...anyone maybe have some insight into what the problem may be?

1) You'll have to add them via Calendar. If you don't have it enabled, you can enable it via Admin > Calendar.

2) It's probably because the feed doesn't validate at all:

http://validator.w3.org/feed/check.cgi?url=http%3A%2F%2Fstore.steampowered.com%2Ffeeds%2Fnews.xml

This should make it work though.

Sources/PortalBlocks.php

Code: (Find) [Select]
$xml_data = fetch_web_data($feed);
Code: (Replace) [Select]
$xml_data = fetch_web_data($feed);
loadClassFile('Class-Package.php');
$xml_array = new xmlArray($xml_data);
$xml_array = $xml_array->path('rdf:RDF[0]');

$items = array();
$counter = 0;
foreach ($xml_array->set('item') as $item)
{
$items[$counter] = array(
'title' => strip_tags($item->fetch('title')),
'content' => strip_tags($item->fetch('content:encoded')),
'href' => strip_tags($item->fetch('link')),
);
$items[$counter]['link'] = '<a href="' . $items[$counter]['href'] . '" target="_blank" class="new_win">' . $items[$counter]['title'] . '</a>';
$counter++;
}
/*

Code: (Find) [Select]
if (empty($items))
{
echo '
', $txt['error_sp_invalid_feed'];

Code: (Replace) [Select]
*/
if (empty($items))
{
echo '
', $txt['error_sp_invalid_feed'];
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Can you check if you applied the edits correctly? If you are sure then attach your file here (edited one) and I'll fix it for you.

And I asked for the edited file, but the edits I mentioned aren't there in the file you attached. Well, whatever, try the attached one.

What do you mean by "it does eliminate several other blocks and messes up the page...."? A screenshot would help a lot.
