Blocks speak! Do you have an interest in getting more blocks - or even making your own? The Blocks Board is for you!

Displaying a block on a specified page ... ie. arcade

SMF v1.1.10
Simple Portal v2.2.2
My Site Link: askusaquestion.net

Please note: I am aware that my version is slightly out of date. I am upgrading to SMF v2.0 RC1.2 (RC2 is not available to the public yet) and SP 2.3.1 but I need to know how to do this so that I can make my arcade page the way I want locally on my pc before changing over on the server.
Your portal blocks will allow me to adapt the arcade page (and edit when I wish) a little easier then making my own php file and having the arcade button open it.

The arcade sub-action does not show up in the list of boards in the Select Boards option.
I realize there is a Custom Display Options tab, but when I try to follow the directions to have the portal show a block on my arcade page - it fails to do so.

What precise command do I need to type in here to have the portal show up where I want. Imao the small instruction given here is vague because it does not show an example with both the needed symbols and board/sub-action as one command.

ie.. the board i am trying to have some blocks show up on is:
/index.php?action=arcade

... what do I type in on the command line to make it show up on the above board. If I need the whole url please specify.. don't use '...' please.

Thank you.

Well, currently the custom display options setting, is a list of options, there is no way of putting in two options that have to be true for the block to be shown.

If you want to show the block on your entire arcade action use:
~action|arcade

If you want to show the block on subactions of your arcade use:
~sa|subaction

Remember the general format for any particular entry in that list is:
~var|value

Where your url is 'index.php?var=value'.

I suppose having an 'and' operator would make sense, I have added it to our ProjectTracker for consideration in the next major version of SP. (link)

Thank you, now I understand the proper command.

This works perfectly.
