Blocks speak! Do you have an interest in getting more blocks - or even making your own? The Blocks Board is for you!

Hello all...

* Which version of SMF you're using. - 2.0RC2
* Which version of SimplePortal you're using. 2.3.1
* A detailed description of the problem. (VERY IMPORTANT). No errors, just a quick question.
I have a shoutbox that is only usable when logged in. I have set permissions on the shoutbox itself so guests cannot see it, and set block permissions so the shoutbox is displayed. Everything works as intended  - guests know it exists, but cannot see it.

I wish to change the text that guest see from
QuoteSorry, this shoutbox does not exist.
to
QuoteSorry, you do not have permission to see this shoutbox.

Which file would I edit?

Nathaniel

Do a search for that text in your 'Themes/default/languages/SPortal.english.php' file. You can change it there.

Due to SMF caching of language strings in SMF2, you will have to use the 'Empty the file cache' task in the maintenance area of the SMF admin panel, under 'Forum Maintenance' -> 'Routine'.
