SMF 2 RC3
SP 2.3.2

I have just tried out SimplePortal on the SMF forum I run and would like to have several individual pages like "About", "Contact" and "Video's"

I have gone to the pages admin area and created a page however I can not see how to get the page to show up on the site anywhere.

I have looked for some documents but they have not helped me and also I searched this site but you can guess how many search results I got for searching for pages - Loads of them..

You will need to make a link to the page and call it like so:  http://www.yourplace.com/index.php?page=pagexxxx (xxx = page number which you can see after making the page or after making the page you can name the pages by editing it and use the page name instead of pagexxx)

Thank you.

I was expecting functionality similar to TinyPortal's Article system where after creating the article page it appears in blocks etc as they are linked to categories.

I shall add the links manually now and create the site
Thanks

As a followon to the above question I have now created a php based page using the following code...

<?phpfunction Scan_Image_Directory($This_Variable,$That_Variable) {	$Path_To_Uploaded_Images = $This_Variable ;	$Import_Images_Array = array();	if (is_dir($Path_To_Uploaded_Images)) {		$Opened_Directory = opendir($Path_To_Uploaded_Images);		while ($Current_File = readdir($Opened_Directory)) {			if (is_file($Path_To_Uploaded_Images.$Current_File)) {				$parts = explode(".", $Path_To_Uploaded_Images.$Current_File);				if (is_array($parts) && count($parts) > 1) {					$extension = end($parts);					if (strtolower($extension) == $That_Variable){						$Import_Images_Array[] = $Path_To_Uploaded_Images.$Current_File;					}				}			}		}		closedir($Opened_Directory);	}	return $Import_Images_Array;}$Path_To_Webcam_Images = "webcam/";$Import_Images_Array = Scan_Image_Directory($Path_To_Webcam_Images,"png",$Debug);arsort($Import_Images_Array);count ($Import_Images_Array);$Import_Images_Array_Small = array_slice($Import_Images_Array, 0, 15);asort($Import_Images_Array_Small);echo "<script language='javascript'>";	echo "imgAr = new Array();";		$i=0;		$k=0;		$speed = 2000;		foreach ($Import_Images_Array_Small as $key => $value) {			if ($value == "webcam/garage.png") {					} else {				$img[$i] = $value;				$imh = $img[$i];				print "imgAr.push(\"$imh\" );";				$i=$i+1;			}		}echo "</script>";echo "<script language='javascript'>";echo "var k = 0;";echo "if (document.images) {";	echo "var rImg = new Array();";	echo "for (var i=0; i<imgAr.length; i++) 	{";		echo "rImg[i] = new Image();";        echo "rImg[i].src = imgAr[i];";	echo "}";echo "}";echo "function rotater() {";	echo "document['test'].src = rImg[k].src;";	echo "if( k < (imgAr.length-1)) {";		echo "k= k+1;";	echo "} else {";		echo "k = 0;";	echo "}";	echo "rTimer = setTimeout('rotater()', ".$speed.").");";echo "}";echo "</script>";echo "<table align=center cellpading=0 cellspacing=0 border=0>";echo "<tr><td>";echo "<img  name=test src='".$img[0]."'>";echo "</td></tr></table>";echo "<script language='javascript'>";echo "rotater();";echo "</script>"

Now I am experiencing a problem. In editing mode, if I select preview the code runs fine and the preview is show with photos, yet if I run the page using it's URL then there is just an empty content where the photo's should be.

How does SP exectue the code differently from preview and from what a normal viewer would see.
If I replace
echo "<img  name=test src='".$img[0]."'>"; with
echo "Hello"; then this does work, so why not the photo's?
Thanks

It was down to path problems between the preview and the actual page. Now it is all working fine.
