Thanks Sinan and all of you beta testers (David, c23_Mike, Brack1, underdog, and Dr. Deejay) for your hard work and attention to detail!

I think you are dismissing too easily your own deep involvement and importance to SP, AngelinaBelle. ;D
I haven't been around as long as many of the other faithful members here, but i do know a hardcore supporter when i see one.
Anyway, just speaking my mind here.

Cheers!

Yes, unfortunately. The year I spent on developing SMF was pretty much lost for SP. Anyway, as you see, we're now back and kicking.

So true. She has been so dependable that I stopped worrying about support and started focusing completely on development.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

I do not mind at all it was a year later. I was currently about 4 days away of starting a new community based on another portalsystem. This for my company since I needed something that could handle SMF2 and did not want to risk it on something that mind no longer were going to be upated. So now I just scrap the work I have done and redo it with you people. Since I like you more.  :in-love:

Re: SimplePortal 2.3.4 RC1 Released! JP menu display correct now
« Reply #27 on: November 15, 2011, 04:08:40 AM »
I did have a problem with custom Japanese menu titles for mods like links, downloads, etc. They are now displaying correctly (not with 2.3.3).

Yes its 'solved' ... hope it stays that way.

Complex display options using PHP expressions for block display.

What does this mean?

That means you can use PHP expressions for Custom Display Option field. You just need to prefix your expression with $php. Example:

Code: [Select]
$php $some_number = 1000; return $some_number > 10;
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Please open a support topic and describe your situation a bit better, even paste in some of the coding you used, so we can help you figure this out.
Ms. Eliana TamerinIt should be painfully obvious by now that I don't respond to support PMs. Don't send me PMs for support. They will be ignored and deleted, post on the Support Boards to get support.

Thanks for the kind words on support.
I do try.  I wish there were more support help, though.

And, oh Sian! Everyone who uses SMF has benefitted from your tireless work over there. I hope you were able to put in enough "SP-ready" stuff while you were at it.

By the way -- love your avatar's 80's narrow-tie look. It's good to see a young man such as yourself in a nice suit and tie!
Please to keep this website running, if you like SimplePortal, make a
one-time subscription. Thank you for your support.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Thank you to everyone who has submitted translations. If you are interested in translating SimplePortal, please PM either myself or [SiNaN].

In order to provide greater consistency and the top quality, I removed the translations provided in attachments here. While we appreciate the efforts of those who submitted, we encourage them to contact myself or [SiNaN] in order to become an official SimplePortal translator. We would much rather everyone was able to download language packs from the Downloads area and could be assured of the same quality you find with SP.

Thanks!

Great job! Unfortunately I have no forum anymore because I am too busy with my work as web-designer. I have a website of course, but it is based on Joomla.

I'll still visit you here regularly because of nostalgic reasons and also of course to stay well informed...you never know what future brings.

Thanks anyway for everything and the good service!

Kind regards
Katrien

I do try.  I wish there were more support help, though.

I almost missed the hidden message to me in the last sentence. I'll try, as you seem to be a lot busy with SMF stuff lately.

And, oh Sian! Everyone who uses SMF has benefitted from your tireless work over there. I hope you were able to put in enough "SP-ready" stuff while you were at it.

I hope they did and more people will. I tried to avoid adding SP-ready stuff but I tried to add in plenty of stuff that would come in handy to most mod authors using my experiences as a mod author.

By the way -- love your avatar's 80's narrow-tie look. It's good to see a young man such as yourself in a nice suit and tie!

Lol, thank you. Actually the way he dresses looks similar to mine. And his looks too... Maybe my hair is darker though. ;P
