I must say that I prefer SMF 2 Beta too, I'll try to start converting some random files (maybe Subs-Sportal.php or Sportal.php) from the stable 2.02 version to SMF 2 Beta, at least I'll have a look at the db_queries because they change completly.

Hmm, just thinking about the SMF 2 Beta, version of the mod and how it will work.

Do you reckon that we will need our own major Dropdown men? Or just a sub-tab in one of the areas?

I am thinking, just a tab in the "Configuration" Menu area, because our own entire section might be overkill, but whatever you think.... Its actually really easy to do this with SMF 2 Beta, because of the Admin menu definitions at the start of the Admin.php file.

I think I caught the Alundra Bug, I've reformated the db_queries from the database.php file and the  Subs-Sportal.php file, for when we need to go live with the SMF 2 Beta 4.0 version of the mod. ;)I'll do a few more, just for fun.....I'm basically just deeply exploring the code and converting db queries at the same time. ;DI've been far too dilegent with taking the variables out the the db queries them selves and using the {type:var} method.... ;)2 Files is enough for one day. Files currently under construction for SMF 2 Beta.Subs-SPortal.phpdatabase.php

Just an update on the SMF 2 Beta, version.I went through the install.xml file to make sure that the main edits to SMF work in the new version, that's almost finished, I just need to work on the admin menu. That was in between giving some support for the mod and updating one of my mods. I don't have much time either.

Ah, good. I am currently porting a 'clean' copy of the 2.02 version of the mod, so I will use the xml updating part of the package so that the SMF 2 Beta version stays at the same Simple Portal version. Good luck with the new version!
