Nice racing site you are trying to pull the rss from

I added it to mine to test it and got
Quote
XML error: Invalid character at line 68
in the block

I used
Quote
http://www.dragtimes.com/recent-drag-racing-times.rss
for the feed

I even tried the
http://www.rss-to-javascript.com
solution I used before SP added RSS, and it failed too.

I would say its dragtimes feed that is at fault.

that's strange..
I just tried your rss feed again
http://newsrss.bbc.co.uk/rss/newsonline_uk_edition/sci/tech/rss.xml

and it works today!  ;D

they could have had a problem caused by a story that WAS posting in the feed.

try it again

possably server setting..
also I use SMF 1.1.7 and RSS is fine

you might put up a "test SMF" with that 1.1.7 version to see if its that?
if it still does not work... its the server  >:(

I put your RSS link on mine to test..
it works!  ;D
but each post from it looks like there is a link that is not processed properly which ends as garbage.

strange since it did here  :(

try going here http://www.rss-to-javascript.com/
and create the code yourself...
perhaps something was lost in the transfer (to here, to you)

That doesn't matter, as that block does not depend on SMF functions.

then prob. a server setting?

mine has 3 security settings
1 safe mode and other tight settings
2 safe Mode off and not as tight settings
3 wide open

1 SMF would not work properly at all
2 seams fine, but may be a issue that I have not noticed yet?
3 is just crazy  :)

yes a bunch!
there has always been many errors in the log on all SMF forums I have set up on any server, thought that was normal?

clearing them out, quick run around the forum and check error again there are many more.
and this one

That probably is not related to SP. Disable template eval and check it again.

What are the other errors?

It works, I never said it didnt, however try getting it to update. That rss feed has been updated 3 times since I plugged in the url, however my page didnt update.

can u plug that url into your rss block and see if it updates. a tech feed should update daily, but it has been 2 weeks and the same feeds.
