Link Tree Redirect Bug
« on: December 04, 2008, 02:50:18 PM »
Hello, after my upgrade to SP 2.1.1 in all of my boards when I go inside a board to see the posts and then hit the navigation tree to go back to the main board it redirects me to my portal.

The "Redirect to portal" is Unchecked.

SMF 1.1.7
SP 2.1.1

In the case of the picture that I used it should direct me to here, http://monsters-mansion.com/index.php/board,1.0.html

Instead it directs me to here, http://monsters-mansion.com/index.php#1

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Link Tree Redirect

Hello, this is the 4th time a redirect issue has been posted and nobody has responded to anything.

I reported it in the "Bug" Section here http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1126.0

BurkeKnight posted it here http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1148.0

ducpainter posted it here http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1121.0

Any kind of support would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry if I sound annoyed but is there a reason why NOBODY has responded to ANY of these FOUR posts regarding this redirect issue?

This is truly unbelievable, after 3 days of no response I even PMd a "Project Manager"?? and STILL nobody will even take a look or atleast say ANYTHING on any of these posts.

As ALL of these posts mention this is an issue after upgrading to SP 2.1.1

If somebody would please say SOMETHING on any of these post I'm sure it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

It's going on DAY 5!

Sorry that we have missed this topic so far. Most of the dev team is currently busy with exams or etc, the rest have been working on converting this website. We have been a bit distracted recently. I will have a look over this bug today sometime.

Thank you very much. Once again sorry if I came across wrong. I truly appreciate all the hard work all of you do and the support that I've received thus far. It was just very strange that this issue was posted 4 times but wasn't being addressed.

Thanks again for you response and I'll keep checkin in for an resolution.

Okay at my first look through the code i can say it's a SMF 1.1.x Bug only ;).
(I found it on a lot of Simple Portal Boards).

If you change this it's possible that you can not upgrade afterward ;)
Replace in Load.php
Code: [Select]
array(array(
'url' => $scripturl . '#' . $board_info['cat']['id'],
'name' => $board_info['cat']['name']
)),
with this
Code: [Select]
array(array(
'url' => $scripturl . '?action=forum#' . $board_info['cat']['id'],
'name' => $board_info['cat']['name']
)),
(I'm sure in the classic version this bug was not there... but possible no one saw it) :)

Bye

mrtrc266,

You really should read the topics, before you include one in your posts.

The redirect issue I posted about is about the Mark as read button redirecting. Not the category.

Bureknight I really did read the posts, "Catagory Redirect" "Mark as Read Redirect." It's all a "Redirect Issue."

Thanks for you support.

SPortal1-1.php

Find:

#c

Replace:

#

will solve the issue.

For mark read redirect, you may want to turn on the redirect fix.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

Replace in Load.php

If we changed the Load.php back to the original state would we be able to upgrade?

For mark read redirect, you may want to turn on the redirect fix.

That is enabled. The Mark as read issue is very different from this problem, as I tried to state above.

That is only an issue, when the Advanced Options setting for the blocks is enabled, and set for Forum there. The mark as read button redirects to:
index.php?action=forums
not:
index.php?action=forum
like the advanced setting is set for.

I agree with BurkeKnight although these are both redirect issues they are seperate.

Should all the comments relating to "Mark as Read" redirect issue be moved to his original post http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=1148.0 ? Might make it easier for members to find a solution when they run across the same problems in the future

Thanks in advance.

If you backed up the files before changing, just replace them when it's time to upgrade. If not, then just keep the fixes in a txt file on your pc. :)
