¿Differences between forum posts and articles?
« on: May 12, 2012, 08:02:51 AM »
Hello! My basic idea of the portal I have is:
In the main there are celebrities news, and things like that , and in the forum images/videos/other discussions ...

What I want to ask is the difference between adding articles to the portal or adding a block with forum posts ...

I know one of the difference is the block I have is html block but... any other difference? or both works the same way?
For example: if i choose to show just 3 or 4 forum posts from certain forum , what will happen if i have there more than 4 news? and if I choose more than 1 forum ?

Like for example:
News >> Celebrities from all over the world
News >> Celebrities from Argentina
News >> another topic

(this are sobforums from "News Category") ... I hope you understand, thanks and have a nice weekend!

Articles go in a fixed position on the front portal page. Test it out and see!
If you don't like the format you can use another posts block.

Personally I don't like the articles system and I prefer a posts block which is more flexible. Layout is different so its a personal choice.
