Gallery & MGallery blocks...
« on: December 07, 2008, 06:39:46 AM »
I'd love to see the Gallery and MGallery blocks set so when put them on the side, would show multiple images going up and down.

Right now, if set to show 3 images, they show left to right, even when put the block on one of the sides.

An option to select how to display it; vertical or horizontal might be added.

I used a really old code on tinyportal to add an gallery block to simpleportal the only snag was that the code is for smf 1.x so it didn't display a members name which I wasn't fussed about as all I wanted was for it to display multiple random images with the title.

Even though it can display width, uploader, album, filesize etc ...

If you took that code and just added in a marquee with behaviour="up" or something like that then you'll have a scrolling block no ...

As for the smf media gallery one, Dragooon and Nao sorted me out some which I customized, I was using a scrolling up one for the comments but errr you could just take the marquee bit and bang it into the image section ...

I'll did out the codes - 5/10 minutes.

I was wondering if it is possible to add-on also to the features of the mgallery (SMG) block for the random images to go to the gallery page instead of directly to the image itself, because then doesn't it not log views for example? I also want users to explore the gallery itself, not just view the images from random images.

Thanks.
