[WIP] re-designing article main
« on: February 11, 2013, 06:22:23 PM »
This is my attempt to recreate the article main to look like pinterest.  I got the markup done. Now is to modify Simpleportal templates.

Thanx man...

Making progress.  The markup is populated with SP's bones.   http://idesign360.com/dev/index.php

looks great. makes me rethink how to have the homepage, be interesting to see how it looks with columns both left and right.

You can fit as many depending on the width of the forum and the columns. I never use both columns at the same time. Only the right and its set at 425px with the forum at 1200px. if i remember right, the article blocks are set to 320px with the images resized to 320x 300px or so.

Based on Micks inspiration, rebuilt our articles page on the front of the site. http://velorooms.com/index.php

3 columns, using the block in block coding from here, and then custom css. Doesnt look as slick as Micks but does the job we wanted it to .

When life is giving you a hard time, try to endure and live through it.
You must never run away from a problem.
Convince yourself that you will survive and get to the other side.
