hi,..
maybe a new topic is better than injecting my request to an old thread with a slightly different topic..

we will use the calendar for anouncing an unsteady number of events per day/week/month...

that means:
when we configure the calendar block to show the events of the next 12 days (for example) sometimes there will be displayed 6 events.. sometimes 3 events.. but sometimes 28 events..  and so on..
that changes the hight of the Calendar Information block everyday..  that means also a different site design everyday.. because we want it to be on the top of the portal blocks.. and we want it with a fixed hight (but without scrollbar)..

so the idea is to show the next xxx (given number) events.. instead of the events of the next xxx days.
when only xxx numbers of events are displayed (doesn´t matter how far they are in the future), the hight of the block will always be the same.

since im not a coder, please help me to change the Calendar Information block code to act like discribed.
i think its the function sp_calendarInformation in Sources/Portal.Blocks.php

Think everybody is enjoying christmas and new year.

it should be possible. Im looking at the code for the calendar block we have and trying to work out how to do it. on basic level increasing the numbers of days to an infinate number but then setting a maximum events should work.. just how..

hmmmm.. will think..

Hello demlak,

I understand you are eager for this, but I hope you can understand that "push" will not write any code.
Velorooms might not have read your recent posts.  You might PM him directly to find out if he is still interested in working on this.

As a last resort, since you are having a difficult time finding anyone interested in the project, you might consider looking at the php code yourself.  If you build a test forum and work there, you can confidently break as much code as it takes to figure it out.
