Sorry to resurrect a (very) old topic on my first visit here, but has anyone figured out how to do this yet?

Rather than resurrect a topic which is almost 3 years old I believe it would be more useful to all if a new topic was started from scratch.

It's fine.  Actually, this really does belong in customization.
There is a little bit of coding to make it work with a new blog mod -- and a little familiarity with the blog mod.

Have you tried the SimplePortal documentation?

Sorry if I posted in the wrong place, I can never determine whether a forum I'm not used to expects members to start new threads or add to old ones...  :-[

Thanks Angelina, are there any tips for this anywhere or a starting point?  I haven't a clue about coding, but I am a button presser who isn't afraid to play a bit  :nervous-happy:

Sabrinova,

I have split this from the original topic, and moved it to the customization board.

If you have neer done any coding before, this could be a touhg way to get started.
You would have to have a look at the current blog block, see how it is done.
Then look at your blog mod, and add a section to do the same sort of thing --- for your blog mod.

You may ifnd, by asking here or else at simple machines.org, that someone else has done this.
You might even contact bluedevil for advice.  I know he has been mixing up portals and blogs for some time...
