Mike I am not sure what it is you are asking.

Also please remember that descriptive topic titles are more useful than ones saying 'I need help.'

Also the large text is unnecessary.

The normal way to install a mod is via the package Manager via admin.

I would wait and see if a member of the SP support team are able to help more than I can.

You do not need to use a url.

You want the 2.3.5 version which you then install via your forums package manager.

You need make a new block - select the type of block from the options to be 'shoutbox'.

Add the SPortal shoutbox block to the pages you want it to show.

The shoutbox only works when it is selected active, and in an active block. Information on managing blocks can be found on this site in documentation.

Yes sorry, my previous comment was for using the shoutbox included with Simple Portal. You can see it in the list of the admin menu of simple portal. Enable SP shoulbox and make a shoutbox block ...and it works.

The SMF Packs shoutbox is totally different. It works on the forum page (see their docs for other settings) - nothing to do with Simple Portal.
