  • {OCS}MasterSeal: I know this SB isnt' for support, but I just have a general question. Who would I contact to find out where SP stores its block info? Is it DB driven or files? I searched the site but came up with nothing. probably my fault any insight is appreciated.

I have done with everything with SMF and I download simple portal the stable packages I click in first one I download it and I just upload  it to my FTP  web hosting and this is the site http://lololz.com/forums/ ...

So yeah can someone help me plzz ? what I do next ? to fix themes and everything so I can finish it. :dead:

I want put more pages and more forums and where I can rename something

Mike I am not sure what it is you are asking.

Also please remember that descriptive topic titles are more useful than ones saying 'I need help.'

DO you know I knew that you will say this but am asking you I have problem I install the simple portal and is not working for me so now you understand what I mean ? man do you know is very simple ! TO understand what am saying and what is my problem for asking and posting here....

 So is not hard to understand what someone need.... Read everything carefully before you say "oo mike am not sure what it is you are asking" and also I post you the link for my site, shows that the simple portal is not working in my site, so am asking you again plzz help me what to do ? to make the simple portal to work ....I have no experience to install like this things Simple Machines and portal am new here.

I HAVE INSTALLED SIMPLE MACHINS AND WAS EASY TO INSTALL WORKET ! BUT SIMPLE PORTAL NOT WORKET WENT SOMETHING WRONG.

I don't know where to go to see if has errors ....to install simple portal I just upload the simple portal package on top of the simple michines files I did that but nothing change on my site.

is there anything else to do to make it to work or you just upload the files and will working ?

package manager in admin i don't know what is that. but all what i did is i download this SimplePortal 2.3.5 and i upload it in web hosting FTP

The normal way to install a mod is via the package Manager via admin.

I would wait and see if a member of the SP support team are able to help more than I can.

man I install the simple michines and worket 100%  but simple portal theres not shows step by step to show how to install it

Ok I click in admin > and then in package manager ........there is ....


Browse Packages  Download Packages   Installed Packages  File Permissions  Options

In the Browse package is the following .....

New Packages:
(package)   Birthdate On Registration 1.0
Adk Link Profile 1
Fake Topic Views 0.1

Package of the Moment:
Group Moderators 1.4

So what is wrong what I do ?

You do not need to use a url.

You want the 2.3.5 version which you then install via your forums package manager.

ok now worket and I installed I just download it the zip and I save it in my desktop and I upload it and I install it... so now how to make the site to looks like this one I mean to looks like simple portal site
