« on: June 19, 2013, 09:29:30 PM »

during the installation, it said no test error and successfully installed.
i can view the sp from the home button but cannot see any admin cp from the configuration..

as you can see, i dunno where to edit the sp..

is there a bug or i install it wrongly?

i did read this http://simpleportal.net/index.php?topic=11646.0 but couldnt understand the solution..

You didn't find Simple Portal in Configuration as it won't be there anyways.

It should be between Forum and members.

Are you using 1.1.18 or 2.0.4?

Hmm I see you are using 2.0.4

No errors in your forum error log?

There was something similar a while ago, and user did not have any Source and template files from SimplePortal.

Check manual installation instructions (here) and check on your FTP server if you have all files in correct folders.

If this still does not help, post some errors here that you have in logs (in code or quote tag, so it will look better here).

I guess, if it hasn't even got a SPortal menu item in the SMF admin panel then install did not work (those edits to SMF files didn't happen). But that could be as Phantomm said that there were problems uploading files into folders on your server.

There are also lots of cases where different server setups cause trouble with file permissions when install edits files.
And often people just do not read the warning messages on the pre-install test.

Any updates on what happened?
