slide images
« on: February 15, 2014, 06:13:13 AM »
hi all, i'm using these codes for slide images in a block but it seems only images between [img ] tags. how can I show another images(from database) too?

Quote
global $smcFunc, $scripturl;

$boards = array(48);

$request = $smcFunc['db_query']('', '
   SELECT t.id_topic, m.subject, m.body
   FROM {db_prefix}topics AS t
      INNER JOIN {db_prefix}messages AS m ON (m.id_msg = t.id_first_msg)
   WHERE t.id_board IN ({array_int:boards})
   ORDER BY m.subject',
   array(
      'boards' => $boards,
   )
);
$topics = array();
while ($row = $smcFunc['db_fetch_assoc']($request))
   $topics[] = array(
      'id_topic' => $row['id_topic'],

      'first_image' => preg_match_all('~\[img\]([^\]]+)\[\/img\]~i',$row['body'], $images) ? '<img src="' . $images[1][0] . '" alt="' . $row['subject'] . '" height="200"  />' : '',
   );
$smcFunc['db_free_result']($request);

echo '
         <table>
            <tr>
               <td><input type="button" value="«" onclick="document.getElementById(\'images_marquee\').direction = \'left\';" /></td>
               <td width="100%">
                  <marquee id="images_marquee" behavior="scroll" direction="left" scrollamount="6"  height="200" width="100%" onmouseover="this.stop();" onmouseout="this.start();">
                  <table>
                     <tr>';
foreach ($topics as $topic)
   echo '
                        <td>
                           <a href="', $scripturl, '?topic=', $topic['id_topic'], '.0">', $topic['first_image'], '<br /><span>', $topic['subject'], '</span></a>
                        </td>';
echo '
                        </tr>
                     </table>
                  </marquee>
               </td>
               <td><input type="button" value="»" onclick="document.getElementById(\'images_marquee\').direction = \'right\';" /></td>
            </tr>
         </table>';

I'm not exactly sure what you are trying to achieve, but I'll only be able to help with SimplePortal specific code. If you can come up with the PHP code that does what you want, you can directly use it with a Custom PHP block.
And slowly, you come to realize... It's all as it should be...

I have already used a PHP block with Simple Portal. Yes, in fact I'm using different codes and you're right about specific codes. although thanks for your answer

Hello tazmaniac,
I hope things are going well at your forum.
It seems you are done asking questions about this question here, since it is not actually a SimplePortal question.
I hope that,  if you have some more specific questions about how to find and display other images in a custom php block, you have been able to get more help from a custom coding board (perhaps at simplemachines.org).

I have marked this topic "solved".  If this is incorrect, please simply mark it "solved" and continue asking your questions.

Thanks!
