Topic: Recent topics and posts block displays replies/posts when set to topics only

I saw this when I first started using Simple Portal but just assumed it was my mistake or something I misunderstood. I can't see how this block selects posts and topics. So it looks like a bug to me... but maybe my interpretation of topic and post is wrong

I assume 'Post' means any reply or any new topic post.

I assume 'Topic' mean just the first post of a new topic (not any replies).


I set the recent topics and posts block to only show 'Topics' but in the block is displays some replies.
When set to display 'Posts' it shows a mixture of replies and the first topic posts.

In the screenshots you can see the 'test' new topic shows in both 'Posts' and 'Topics'.  But a new topic by Marek at 1.07am only displays in 'Posts', not in 'Topics.

I can't see the logic of how they are selected.

I think Recent Posts are pretty clear; it just lists recent posts. In case of Recent Topics, it might be better to call that Recently Updated Topics. I think Recent Topics kind of make people think that it's Recently Created Topics, but not, it's Recently Updated Topics. If you want it to list Recently Created Topics, then you need to make the following change:

Ah ok, got it. Some of the guidelines are not that clear on it.
