Test unsuccessful - due to old server data?
« on: November 18, 2015, 02:13:26 PM »
I recently changed my hosting company and upgraded the smf 1.1.26 board to the latest smf 2.0.11, transfer went OK and the board was full functional. I tried to add the Simple Portal mod file and there is an error (see pic) There are two errors and therefore no test successful option.

The two line errors refer to a previous hosting company that the board is not hosted with, in fact these files don't even exist on that server.

Is there a fix to stop this error?

Did you click where the text says "to view a list of the affected files please click here"?
Asking just to be sure. ;)

Sorry for not adding that information.
All of those links don't exist on the current server or the old server..

Interesting and pretty odd, I'd call it an SMF bug (I wonder why it checks and blocks the installation over files for a theme that is not selected for modification (... well, I guess because of the way the package manager works, but anyway that's not the matter here).

Judging by the screen I assume the theme is not used, so you should just remove it from admin > configuration > themes and layout > theme settings
In that page, on the far right of the theme name you see a red "X", click on it and the theme is gone.
This should fix the issue (even though I see a couple of other paths that are quite odd and I'm not sure where they come from, but at least let's start with the easy one :P).
