Remove Forum Label
« on: February 02, 2018, 09:26:24 PM »
Current SMF version: SMF 2.0.15
Current SP Version: 2.3.7
Forum: http://thetarotforum.com/index.php

I have set up the Portal section of SP, and I'm using button graphics for my menu, causing Forums to appear in black type above the button.

Where can I edit that out?  Is it possible?

Thank you!

Hi,

How did you replace menu text with images?

It was a part of the theme I downloaded, trust me, I'm no coder!
However some buttons didn't have images and I was able to edit the gfsyle file to add them. I did the same thing for Forums, but  it still retains the label.

Donations tab did the same thing too, but it was a matter of going into the language file of Treasury to remove the label. I don't see an obvious option in the files for SP.

All* the buttons are called in Sources/Subs.php
The forum button that is added by SimplePortal is specifically called (still in Subs.php) here:
Code: [Select]
'forum' => array(
'title' => empty($txt['sp-forum']) ? 'Forum' : $txt['sp-forum'],
'href' => $scripturl . ($modSettings['sp_portal_mode'] == 1 && empty($context['disable_sp']) ? '?action=forum' : ''),
'show' => in_array($modSettings['sp_portal_mode'], array(1, 3)) && empty($context['disable_sp']),
'sub_buttons' => array(
),
),
I'll let it up to you to figure the rest out ;) (this to encourage a bit of learning, but feel free to ask further).

* Except for the ones that are added via hooks by some mods, such as Lazy Admin Menu mod and many others.
Have you tried SimplePortal Documentation before asking? ;)

Ah, apologies for posting again.

Not only did it vanish on top of my image tab, it it also vanished on the themes with text menus as well.
Is there a way I can have both?
