Theme Change across all of Forum/Portal
« on: February 03, 2018, 12:15:19 PM »
I just switched to having a Portal for my front page, and I'm having a lot of confused people trying to figure out and reporting bugs that their theme isn't displaying there.
Is there actually a way to circumvent the select theme for SP?

If not, there should be!

In the Admin section - Simple Portal settings, there is an option to set the theme but you can only select one (including forum default).

When the forum is set to 'Front Page' mode and the portal theme is set as 'forum default', it changes to the user selected theme once they have logged in (same for forum and portal front page).

If you select a specific theme for the portal front page, it will not change when the user logs in. So it is better to set the portal to forum default theme as this will change the theme used for the portal for each user's selected them (if they are allowed to select themes -  set in the general theme settings in Admin).

Thank you, I'm surprised I didn't notice that.  (I spent 12 hours transfering the forum, by that time I was braindead.)
